our projects

Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) | USH 41/WIS 29

Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) | USH 41/WIS 29

Despite the many updates and improvements since being originally constructed in 1926, US 41/WIS 29 could no longer handle the traffic of this rapidly growing area. Therefore, improving the connectivity of this interchange was essential to the continued safe and efficient movement of people and goods between major cities throughout the state of Wisconsin. Patrick, as part of a team, provided construction management, inspection, and material testing services for the $243 million reconstruction and expansion of the USH 41/WIS 29 system interchange. This multi-stage project involved construction of frontage roads, building fills to support the system interchange ramps, and reconstruction of WIS 29 mainline from Duck Creek to the western project limits. Stage two work involved completion of the service and system interchange at US 41/WIS 29, including substructure construction, installation of two tub girder flyover bridges, deck pours, MSE retaining walls, box culvert replacement and stream realignment, noise walls, mainline grading and concrete paving, wetland mitigation, and modification of a rail spur.
