Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC) | Naval Base Kitsap Electrical Upgrades
Patrick is the Lead Engineer for infrastructure projects at Naval Base Kitsap. Patrick is under contract to provide design services for 41 critical electrical projects that involve major electrical improvements to the 115kV transmission system, 115kV substation equipment, 12.47kV distribution system, 12.47kV generator systems, and all associated protective devices. Work undertaken includes distribution feeder protection, transmission line protection, transmission (115kV) distance protection, transformer protection + monitoring, distribution (12.47kV) distance/pilot protection, generator protection, bus protection, capacitor banks, capacitor bank control, SCADA components and integration, distribution voltage regulator replacement, system coordination studies and arc flash studies using SKM analysis platform, generator controls, generator synch circuits, breaker replacement, switchgear replacement, power meters, batteries, chargers, and station service, web based security cameras, SF‐6 breaker replacements and new installations, six shore/industrial power substation replacements, and physical security hardening.
