Argonne National Laboratory | Advanced Photon Source Upgrade (APSU)
The Advanced Photon Source Upgrade (APSU) project is an eight-year, $700 million investment to develop the most powerful multi-bending achromat in the Department of Energy (DOE) complex. This machine will support the discovery of science on the leading edge for the next 25 years. Patrick provided project controls, risk managers, and SharePoint support for the APSU project. Our local project controls specialists performed in accordance with Patrick's strong reputation quickly integrating into the existing project controls team. Their duties included project planning support, development of a comprehensive P6 schedule and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure, project schedule status updates and processing of potential change requests and what-if scenarios, development and maintenance of work authorization documents and basis of estimate documentation, participation in critical decision reviews, and critical support and management for the Earned Value Management System.
