Patriot Rail | East Chicago Track Expansion
Patrick designed the expansion of rail car storage at the existing Lakeshore Rail Car and Tanker Services. The project included the over 9,600 track feet for five new storage tracks. Patrick performed a geotechnical investigation and existing conditions survey. Available space for the expansion was limited and there was no room for a detention basin. The scope included preparing conceptual design to determine the feasibility of the project. The project final design included infiltrating 100% of the stormwater into the underlying sand. Patrick provided services to obtain a permit from the City of East Chicago.
